White Angel
Sounds like our system in Canada is quite similar to yours. Hospital stays, doctors visits, medical tests, Xrays and scans, and most physio therapies are covered with no cost to the patient. Thank God because I was in acute care for over a month and in a rehab hospital for around 6 months. I still attend physio 4 times per week. My wheelchair and other assisted devices are 75% covered by the government.
I am unsure about prescription coverage as mine are 100% covered through my work benefits at this time. I am currently running my long term disability through work and have another year to get my ass back to work before I have to resign my position. Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't take that long though I am becoming increasingly bored. However, I consider myself thoroughly lucky with the system and additional benefits that I have available to me so I am able to focus on receovery with less worry.

OK - that previous reply of mine was directed to Went.
I can't figure out how to get the reply to include the prior message that you're referring to... any suggestions?

OK, hold it down, all of you! This is a serious place! (Let's see, where did I put my chainsaw?). OK. Time to go take care of business.

I will say that I was fortunate in that I had no problems whatsoever in getting my Social Security Disability approved. I just assumed that whoever was reviewing my case didn't want to question a tumor that was blocking 95% of my spinal cord! Kind of a tough thing to question, you know?
Deb, are you have problems or is the process just going slow for you?
