Thanks for adding me guys and gals. I did speak w/Joel on voice chat. The sound quality seemed to be very good. I will chat w/you ladies soon I hope. I'm not the personality type to just barge in since I have no idea if you're busy w/other things. If I'm on and I'm displaying the lil green light, feel free to hit me on type or voice. I'll be happy to chat.

This is just a note to let you guys know that Skype use among our members is increasing--I am on it, as well as Beth, Chris, Went, and Scrappy so far. It is really nice to just say "hey" to these folks using Skype's I.M., or to call for longer talks. It is really easy and convenient to use Skype--so please consider downloading it! It's all free. Joel

you can search on our names or emails and then add us to your list. You can do IM (chats) without microphone. You do need to get a microphone or headset to use the phone feature. Try it!

Some computers have built-in microphones and decent speakers. Of course that means that anyone nearby can hear both sides of your conversations, but it's an inexpensive route to go. Check your system (on Control Panel / Sounds & Audio Devices) to see what you do or don't have. Then you can test it in Skype before investing more $$ in external microphones and headsets.
Let us know what your user name is in Skype so we can add you - welcome!!

hey guys, I'm glad this has worked out for you all. I am on an 8 year old computer that is on it's last leg. If I get something that is a little more reliable I sure will hook up with this, I think it's a great idea! Cindy
