I'm doing well. Still working with pt and ot twice a week. My follow up is July 1, so hopefully I can go back to work then. My upper body itches like crazy but there are no bites are anything, could this related? Thank you for the message. How are you doing?

the itching is normal considering they cut open your spinal cord, itching/burning/tingling/electric etc...... oh the joys!!
jennn, my tumor was c3-c5, so i used to get the feeling alot, it has gotten better though, give your body/spine/nerves time to recover from that brutal invasion.

When I started to kick the opiates, I got real itchy. I wonder now if the opiate withdrawal was making me itch, or if was a symptom that meds were masking.

Suppose that matters on how much your body depended on them and how long you were on them....

I was really itchy too for a couple months after my surgery. My tumor was at C1-C3-ish. My arms and shoulders were itchy and still get like that sometimes. Even my scalp is itchy from it! For the most part it went away once things settled down but my scalp is still really itchy and sensitive. Part of my scalp was numb after the surgery as well, I guess the nerves for the scalp are in the top of the spine.

Only thing that might take the edge off is gabapentin/lyrics/pregabalin, that I know of, that or time.

I have itching mainly on the right side of my torso and it drives me nuts, especially when I'm trying to sleep. Mine began about a month before my operation and I assume it's down to some neuropathic process. In the early days I even tried moisturizer to see if the itching was being caused by dry skin. Obviously it didn't work as the cause is internal. It's not that painful, just irritating and uncomfortable. I don't think there's anything you can do to get rid of it. I've never taken pregabalin or gabapentin, although I know others have found it successful for treating neuropathic pain.
