Dr. Jallo my name is mike I had a MRI scan because of a fall from abig rig at work, they found a 15mmx12mmx14mm enhancing mass within the left L4-L5 neural foramen I have no pain numness no problems at all. The NS told me I should have it taken out beause it would be easier now then latter. next month they are going to do another MRI to see if it has grown , if it has not got any bigger would there be any reason to have it removed

Dr George Jallo performed a surgery on me for Epedymoma,a spinal chord tumour om me in 2002,December 6th at Beth Israel in New York and it was a remarkable thing as back home in India doctors had given me no hope..I was only 16 and doctor gave me a new lease of life. And today I am a PhD student of neuroscience in cmu. He is a pious man and our angel. Ritika

I would like to see about getting ahold of Dr. Jallo to review my case. I've gone in for a large tumor T-10 through L-2 and have gone into surgery under Dr. Porter. I think Dr. Porter is a great surgeon and very competent, but I always believe in getting a second opinion and I feel Jallo would be the best doctor considering the complexity of my case. Hoping someone can pass along what information I'd need to get in touch. MRI scans, email, etc. Thanks.

How can I post a question for Dr. Jallo? I found a page on tethered cord, not the one you are born with but from a tumor removed. I have a tethered cord at T-8 from a cyst that grew at the tip of the catheter from a pain pump in 1999. This pump was recalled in 2008. I had paralysis in my right foot, after the surgery my legs never felt the same, burning, numb feeling. Seven months after the surgery my spinal cord tethered. Two attempts were done in 2000 and 2001 to de-tether the cord. I scarred back down again and yes I have neuropathy, some spasticity, and pain in my legs and feet, also swelling. Bladder pain, pelvic pain, difficulty urinating, use a catheter. I just recently had an MRI of the T-spine, have not had one since 2001. I now have a herniated disc at T8-T9, this is where I am tethered. There is no mention of cord tethering on my report. My neuro's PA could not help me with this. I am seeing my neurosurgeon on Jan 10th. In the meantime all my tethered cord symptoms have increased, I go completely numb and lame in my left leg. I also had a lumbar MRI, I am fused at all levels from spondylolithesis, now I have severe bilateral neural foraminal stenosis from scarring and bone spurring from L4 to S1. I wanted to question the radiologist about the T-spine MRI and ask him if he sees where I am tethered but my neuro's PA would not allow it. My question is could I be herniated at the level I am tethered, I do have some abutting of the spinal cord with indenting of the thecal sac. I think I need a CT-myleogram. Meanwhile I am nervous about all this. I do realize a T-spine herniation can resolve on its own in time but I am scared of getting weakness in my legs again and at the worst paralysis. I hope this gets to Dr. Jallo. Sharon
