I have noticed mild tingling sensation on arch of my left foot to my left knee last few weeks. Tingling gets stronger when run hand over area. I have osteoarthritis in left knee. Saw my PT doc and intern last week and intern said sign of continued healing since I am 18 months post surgery--T678 benign ependymoma. Tingling gets milder after putting ice pack on left knee or icy hot. Had PT evaluation last Friday for new round of PT and she seemed concerned about my tingling. Have annual MRI late may 2013. Comments welcome, thanks!

Re buzzing - look up 'L'Hermitte's sign' on Wikipedia. The tingling and buzzing could be caused by adhesions to spine. I had it, but a rather vigorous session with an osteopath shortly after my op got rid of it. I wasn't expecting to be cracked around but it did the trick - however, I never went back to him! All the other symptoms here sound just like that infuriatingly unmanageable 'peripheral neuropathy. I've just had Baclofen [for spasms] added to Gabapentin which is being gradually increased. I'll keep you posted if it has any effect at all. We are heroes to soldier on with these symptoms!

I can completely relate to the "torture" of the intense itch that cannot be scratched!!! I've lived with it for 9 years now. I had a grade II intramedullary ependy. from C7-T4, which was totally resected in 2007. I am numb from my armpits all the way to me feet. It is so hard to describe to those who haven't been through this ordeal. You learn to "deal with it", and just try to treat your body the way you're supposed to normally. I've read Chelsea Grant's story and it mirrors mine almost 100%. It's good to know we are not alone. I will pray for everyone on here because everyday is a new and different challenge. It took me a year to relearn how to walk, and although I am greatful, I am never comfortable, and it makes outings challenging. It also challenges me mentally like nothing I have ever experienced. Trying to stay positive amidst this "new normal" is probably my most daunting task yet. Prayers to everyone and stay positive.
