Dear Paul, I was wondering how you liked Dr. Borges. I have to find a new doctor and after searching the Internet I found the Mass General spine center. It seems like the place to go but I would like a first hand opinion. Thanks

HI, Donna. I'm Deb, 52, with an intramedullary ependymoma at C2, and my doc is Dr. Borges. At present, I'm in the "watchful waiting mode," and I think that I am non-symptomatic, but I am not sure... I'd love to chat with you at some point, same with Paul, as I live in Stoughton, MA and work in Brookline, MA, and would be so grateful to be able to connect with someone local (and I'm assuming that you both are local?) My next MRI is April 30, and I'm crossing my fingers...

Hi Deb! Boy, am I happy to see your reply! I am seeing Dr. Borges tomorrow!!! I wish I could talk to you right now as I am extremely nervous and can't shake this bad feeling. I am also in the "watchful waiting mode" and can relate to your not being sure if you have symptoms or not. I think of my tumor so much that every pain or tingling or numbing feeling that I have I blame on the tumor. It would be great to chat with you. I'm sure we have a lot in common. I live in Longmeadow, MA, just outside of Springfield. Hope to hear from you soon. Good Luck with your MRI.
