Hello...can you tell us the type of tumor it was and how long ago? Have you got a second opinion yet? What are some of your symptoms? Is it in the same area as the last tumor? Please let us know. Where are you located? If you can give us a little more information we can possibly steer you in a good direction. Did a doctor say it was a risk to do surgery again? I am sure someone here will tell you to contact Dr. Jallo and provide an address and phone number for him. He has helped many, many folks who thought they could not be helped. let us know new friend...Cindy

Thank you for your respond. Now, living in Thailand but the first operation was done in Australia in year 2004 at that time the doctor designed to replace my L3 spinal with titanium. And now it comes back at the same place but this time the spinal is encompassed by the tumor which approximately 10 centimeters long. I just know that it comes back on July 2008. The doctor in thailand said i got only chance 50/50 to do the operation. I might die during the operation or otherwise just let it be and if I lucky enough, i could stay up to ten years. Now, I'm just 30 years old. .....So can anyone suggest is there any other ways to do. Or recommend and give me a contact of any good doctors which expert about my case please.

What type of tumor is it? My tumor (10 cm subepenydemoma, spelled wrong) is completely wrapped around the spinal cord inside the dura and is unable to be removed. My doctors say because its such a slow growing tumor we'll just watch it. Its ethically unable to be removed since they'll have to literally cut out that section of the spinal cord. It will leave me paralyzed in some time. I think because you live in Thailand, you should contact Dr. Jallo. Like someone else said he has helped many who thought/were told there was nothing else they could do and had little hope. Is it possible for you to get your surgery done in another country (like Austraila, USA, England, Canada, ect). Is it possible to get another Dr in Thailand to look at your case? Good luck and keep us updated. I too am young (27) and know that given those odds is scary but keep your head up and take one day at a time!
