Hi Cindy,

Happy belated birthday! Sorry to hear of the news of your job. I am a firm beliver when one door closes another door open up so look for that door and you never know losses can be blessings in disguises even though we may not see them that way at that time.

I agree OCTOBER is a very good month and some people on here like Barb give out to much information! haha I don't mind giving that out. My birthday is the 22nd of this month I am going be at that age that even if I turn it around i'm still at that same age. but anyway i'm still young and it great to have birthdays because that means you are still alived. Since Barb gave out to much info I will tell her birthday it the 24th and speaking of other survivors Arlene is the 10th and Valerie is the 18th so now I feel better because October is a great month to be born in. See we even have a guy among us with a birthday this month so Happy birthday Tony on the 8th. Deirdre from Australia was the 3rd of this month. Wow we all need to meet and have one big birthday party for those of us who has a birthday this month.

Hang in there Cindy and keep your chin up! It will get better for you.

PS: OOPS I didn't know Paul was the 24th so see we are getting more guys born in October. If I left anyone out sorry I don't know everyone b-day this month so looks like we will have a big party this month. Oh Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. It does sound strange that YOU would be let go, since you were there since the company's inception. I agree with you, just take October out of the calendar next year!! I am sending you a big hug {} ( I hope that's the right symbol, I'm not up on my internet symbols!)

Just wanted to add my birthday is October 28th. I always loved this month My husband and I were married on October 1st 26 years ago. This is a beautiful time of year the trees are changing it is no longer so hot outside yet not to cold (at least here in Michigan).

So Sorry to hear about your job loss. I agree with Barb that big companies "Can" the high wage earners in tough times in order to save money. Remember when God closes one door he opens another.
