I am so touched of everyone's concern about my brother. Well, they did a scan of his brain and there are no tumors there so now they can concentrate on the areas where the cancerous tumors are. He started yesterday with this study treatment, got interviewed, tested, given some meds and benedryl and then an hour of chemo. He has to get his blood taken every week and another 6 hour treatment session in 3 weeks. He just won't talk to anyone about this, but I was exactly the same way when I was facing my tumor. I will keep you updated. Barb

Barb, you sound like the best sister in the universe to go through this with him. Cancer is never easy to talk about. My Mom had a tough time believing she really had it. Even four days before she passed, she was doing leg exercises trying to get stronger. About the only things a caregiver can do is just to be there. Sometimes it isn't what you say, it's just being there. Stay close and if/when he wants to talk, I'm sure he will. There have been times I have a tough time talking about the tumor or my cancer. It affects everyone differently. I'm glad it has not spread to his brain. And there are so many trials now that anything is possible. Hugs, Cindy
