Joel, to be very honest with you, it was one of the easiest drugs I have ever taken. It did not suddenly change my mood. It was a gradual thing. It took about 3 weeks before I just started feeling better. I started to become more interested in things, I had better focus, I could think clearer, I slept better, I had a better appetite. Little things did not bother me as they used to. I started to enjoy things again. I started to feel like my old self. When I went off it..after about 7 months..it was because I wanted to just go back to not taking anything. It had helped me through a rough patch and I wanted to get back to not depending on it. But it is a drug that you can safely take for the rest of your life. When I went off it, I had no withdrawal symptoms. I did a gradual thing, taking one every other day then every two days, until I went off it completely. There was no shakiness, no withdrawal symptoms of any kind. This is a newer drug and is not quite as harsh as other ones out there. Maybe it would be worth checking into. It was very calming for me, actually getting my blood pressure to go down. It might not work as well for everyone else, but for me it was a small miracle in the darkness. I wish you well Joel, Cindy
