Hello to All my Friends here....I finally have some news to share. As most of you know I was going to have some "girly" type surgery last month. But we postponed it until this month. Well, it will be official...at the end of this month I will be doing a full hysterectomy. My Doc is going to schedule me for the da vinci surgery which is robot assisted. They will basically punch about six holes in my tummy and the robot will do the work. Everything is in 3D and the surgeon sits at the controls and does not stand over me like he would if it were ordinary surgery. Kind of like playing a video game, but on a live person. The surgery is supposed to be less invasive, with a one day and night hospital stay and a quicker recovery. Doc still wants me to take six weeks minimum to heal and hopes that we will have a good outcome from this.Meaning we are hoping that I show no signs of ovarian cancer. My tumor markers for this are at 19 and the rating is supposed to be that anything under 20 is good. So .....I am hoping this is the last surgery I have for awhile. I will keep you guys posted as to dates as the time gets closer. Cindy

Good luck, Cindy. I haven't heard of this kind of procedure, I hope it turns out good and you recover quick!

Cindy,
Be sure to let us know the date. Good luck. Been thinking about how you're doing. Do you have help when you get home. Wish I was closer-I could help-wobbly but I still could help :-)
