Hope everybody will be spending time and love with friends and family this holiday. I am glad to have one more day away from radiation treatment - (2 more weeks to go)
I just wanted to let you know about a company called Healthjourneys (healthjourneys.com) where you can order MP3s or CDs that cover imagery, affirmations, and meditaton for cancer, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
I listen to them as my wife drives me to and from treatments and sometime before I fall asleep. I would rate it as good material especially since it is not very costly
This material is part of a larger catalog of possibly other interesting resources.
I am interested in other material people have found helpful
Regards, Ken

Hi Ken - Thanks so much for posting about this and for the tip - I'll be sure to check that company out. I've used meditation and imagery many times over the years, most often during the most difficult times (e.g. post surgery, or during this last year with an injury). I've got audio tapes, CDs, and now MP3s. My latest purchase of a MP3 was Dr. Emmet Miller's 'Letting Go of Stress.' and Sarah Bates 'To Light a Candle:Meditation in Difficult Times' (Bates has a good one on that album for 'Peace During Pain' I agree they aren't very costly, and actually there are several free ones on itunes that I've tried - including a free podcast called 'relaxation music for sleep, stress, and anxiety relief' Even for the ones that cost money, you can often download a sample first to see if you think you'll like it. I hope that the last bit of radiation treatment goes well! Best, Ida
