I just have to say that eventhough there are a whole lot of recommendations for Dr. Jallo, and I am sure he is excellent, there is another surgeon, Dr. Mark Lee, who operated on me and left me WITH ALL MY MOTOR FUNCTIONS INTACT. I am sensorally defecit but at least I can do all the things I used to do, and most people have no idea that I am "different". I can walk, almost with no gait abnormality. I just wanted to toss his name into the mix. I have not heard of anyone else that has had him as their surgeon. He only had to stop surgery on two patients and that was because he wanted to save their motor functions. Please consider him at MCG, here in Augusta, GA. The surgical team that operated on me was wonderful and the post surgical care I received at MCG was excellent, I have NO COMPLAINTS at all. I recovered at MCG and was transported to THE BEST REHAB. FACILITY AROUND, and that is...WALTON REHABILITATION CENTER, here in Augusta, GA. They have the best team of physical and occupational therapists ever, and the nurses were so kind and kept me laughing when I was in my darkest days!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to let anyone who is having to make this hard decision aware that there is this service here in GA, if you need somewhere in the SE to travel to.

Thanks for your referral. There is a category on the forum for "Neurosurgeons and Medical Centers". Suggest that you copy this post there before it gets buried in the archives on the general forum. Here's a link: spinalcordtumor.proboards54.com/index.cgi Look for the Medical Centers & Neurosurgeons category Robert
