Physical Therapy and Botox

After my last PT appointment Dave (my physical therapist) and I have come to the conclusion that the botox I received is helping me. I am still able to turn my head further to the right than before. So I have put in a call to my neurologist to let him know that we think the combination of the botox and PT seems to be a good thing.

One thing though I was given an exercise for my neck a long time ago from Dave and that is to lay on my back tuck my chin in and lift my head. I was able to do this but it was very hard. Now I can not lift my head at all! I think the botox relaxed those mussels! I keep trying to lift it every morning and night.... but still nothing.... I have no problems holding it up when I am standing (that would be sad if I couldn't hold my head up for my daughters wedding this month!)

Hi: I'm sorry about not being able to lift your head. Did you have a laminectomy (removal of bone) and a laminoplasty (replacement of bone) done on C2-C3 and C7-T3 or were you fused?

On another issue. Make sure your physical therapist is a doctor. I would advise you to see a physiotherapist first. The physical therapist should follow orders from your physiotherapist. Be sure to pick the right physiotherapist. Some of them prescribe medication without much regard to how they will affect you negatively.

How did you come to the decision that Botox would be good for your condition?

I did have a Laminectomy. The Physical Therapist I have been going to was recommended by a phsyatrist that I went to. He is now reporting to my neurologist and my G.P. I do think he is good at what he does. He is also teaching now at a local college.
I am starting to gain strength in my neck again unfortunately the pain and lack of movement in my neck is returning too. (I think the weakness was caused from the botox). I will have more botox injections in December.

Oh and by the way I watched your music video and I love it! Do not understand Spanish but you have a BEAUTIFUL voice!!!
