It has been 7 years since I had my tumor removed and thoracic spinal fusion. My neurosurgeon said my tumor was in a difficult spot and in order for them to get to it they had to remove a disc and then fuse my thoracic spine. My MRI’s have come back ok until the past two years. I thought it was a mistake or misreading of my mri at first. I had another a few weeks ago and they had the same findings. An artifact is floating around in my spinal cord! Has anyone ever heard of this? Was something left behind after the surgery or do you think my hardware has come loose? Do I need to get this removed or do you think It won’t effect me at all? I know my neurosurgeon got a copy of the report and he didn’t call me about it. What are your thoughts? thank you
