To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with myxopapillary ependymoma tumors in June 2013. I had a large tumor on my L1-L3 and a smaller one on S1-S2. I had the larger tumor resectd via surgery (99% resection). Two months after my surgery, I had proton radiation for both tumors, as they were growing. From my last MRI several years ago, they are stable. While I’m happy to be alive, I am living with what I consider very frustrating effects from my tumors. I went to see a urologist and was diagnosed with a neurogenic bladder, more specifically not being able to completely drain my bladder fully. Thus, I have to constantly use the bathroom. The urologist said it is likely caused by the tumors, but didn’t provide much in the way of treating the condition. Additionally, I also suffer from hyperhydrosis-excessive sweating. I have seen an endocrinologist and they can’t find a reason for my condition other than the spinal tumors. I am asking if anyone else has similar issues and what you are doing for treatment. I greatly appreciate all input. I am growing tired of living with constantly sweating and constantly urinating. Thanks for the help!

I had sweats where I changed by shirt twice a day. At night your spine stretches and causes all kind of issues. Yes, bladder issues is a "bad" effect of a SCT. They found that my bladder was 3 times it's size when they did an ultrasound in the hospital. They told me I was going to have to catheter myself, they were wrong.
