Hello everyone, I would be grateful if someone could direct me on which direction to take to cure my mother's case as she has been diagnosed with a recurring spinal tumor (16 cm) extending from D11 to L5 . She was previously diagnosed with the same tumor in 2001 ( it was 18 cm) at that time and had gone a surgical operation which removed most of the tumor and only 3 cm was left by the surgeon due to the sensitive area which the surgeon couldn't operate on at that time so she took a couple of gamma radiation sessions which she couldn't continue as the radiation made her very sick. Kindly check attached MRI report that was recently done and please let me know whats would be the best approach to remove such tumor(Surgery,Radiation(Gamma,Cyberknife),chemotherapy,..). Thank you. Hi there. This is so worrying for you and your mother. I know many people on this forum have had good expert advice from Dr Jallo at John Hopkins Hospital, he will look at scans and give you advice and I believe it is free. There's no one answer for these tumours. Everyone's case is different, everyone epxeriences it differently. But check out the thread on here about neurosurgeons. It might be helpful. Best of luck to you both.
