Hi!
13 months ago, I had severe muscle weakness in both legs and both arms (to the point that I needed a power wheelchair and assistance bathing). I was also incontinent. My neurologist was unable to find a cause. He sent me to a University hospital a few hours away. There, they ran another spinal MRI. At that time, this place told me that it was stress and sent a psychiatrist who was extremely rude.
I went home severely depressed. 2 days later, my infectious disease doctor called to say that I had a tick-borne illness. My infectious disease doctor told me that the tick-borne illness that I had could NOT have caused my problems. Despite that, it was treated with doxycycline and after 6 months of intensive physical therapy, I was able to walk again. I'm still not where I was before this happened, but I have most of my bodily functions. I have struggled with Orthostatic intolerance for 19 years.
I recently got access to the MRI report. It says that I have a hemangioma on C3. The impressions listed are that everything was normal.
1) I am really mad that when looking for a reason for my severe symptoms, they did not even mention that I had a small benign tumor in my spine. It seems to me like they had decided I was crazy the moment I walked in.
2) Could Orthostatic intolerance, adult-onset anaphylactic allergies, or trouble breathing be caused by a hemangioma at C3?

Dear Sir,
Regarding your psychiatric, I am sure he needs a doctor...& not you.
Regarding your C3 begin tumor, it can cause more than you imagine. They maybe deviate from the original cause of pain since they are not able to do microsurgeries, however this kind of tumors are very dangerous to keep especially when symptoms starts... Please consult a doctor who is neurosurgeon who make spinal microsurgeries with neuromonitoring. Contact doctor George Gallo.. He is checking for free your MRI..Search his email on this forum and if not find call me back here.. All the best... BE strong.. Many people suffer like you, you are not alone.
Keep updating us..

As peaceandlove says, seeing a good NS would be the start of recovery and an honest appraisal of your condition. I hope you will come back with good news for us. Blessings, FW
