I was 24 years old when, at the end of 2013 they discovered 2 Ependymomas in my thoracic region. One was 6cm and the other was 2cm. Had the larger one resected Dec 1 2013 and the smaller one on Jan 7 2014. They were considered complete resections and I had my whole spinal radiated in March 2014. I've had clear MRI's every six months until today, which would have marked 3 years cancer free. They found a small 8mm mass in my lumbar region (which they want to resect soon). I'm so scared. I thought I was in the clear and now I'm afraid they are just gonna keep popping up until they kill me. I feel like 8mm in 6 months is aggressive?? I could really use some positive recurrence stories if you have one.
