Hi all, I posted Ina seperate section but noticed most of the posts were from several years ago so trying here. I would just like to hear from someone who has gone through a similar experience. I am 5 weeks post op from surgery to remove an epedymoma from my spinal cord. I am still having a lot of pain when I do any activity for more than 30 minutes. My pain meds help some but still hurting pretty bad. I'm the main bread winner for my household and need to return to work in 2 weeks as all my paid leave has been used. I have been feeling really depressed and having anxiety almost every evening. I feel like my family is tired of hearing it. I am really at the end of my rope. I'm currently taking Percoset 10 mg every 6 hours and Ambien for sleep. I'm wondering if I should discuss an antidepressant with my dr. I'm lower than I've been in a long time.

There is a facebook page for spinal cord tumors that is very active and can give you great advice on these types of issues. If you have a facebook, search spinal cord tumor association.

When it comes to pain relief pills, I can recommend you Declofenac ( otcovernight.net/where_to_buy_diclofenac.html ). I'm not a doctor though. Remember, prior to putting yourself on any medicine, you should consult your doctor.

Dear Artist,
Honestly speaking it is hard dilemma to explain why you are in pain. you are saying it is an ependymoma which mean it is very remarkable when the surgeon is resecting and he should do a total resection which mean no pain if he doesn't heart the nerves spine. This is the must luckiest people. If not ependymoma, it can be an astrocytoma or ganglioglioma, its tissue is very similar to the spinal cord tissue and cannot be distinguish, in similar case, the surgeon will do surgery under neuromonitoring device & resect as much as possible from the tumor. Result is the 10 or 15 % which is tumor remains (Doctor didn't resect, to avoid getting paralyzed, by help of neuromonitoring device). This remaining's can be the main reason of the pain, and there is no drugs for it in the entire world, noting can release your pain since it is mechanical pain (mostly it appears in certain posture like when you sit)the tumor residue is pressing in this case. Result : hopeless case like me. If your pain is neuropathic chronic (you have total resection), it mean the pain result from surgery by hearting the nerve during cutting, this pain can be tolerated either by drugs (like combination of Lyrica & Cymbalta) whether my electric stimulation or also called neuromodulation which is rarely succeeding. I hope my answer will help you in understanding the case and you come back to use with something beneficial like we do, and give use new hope to get rid of our pain. Thank you, Peace and love.
You can pray too. God is there for all of Us.

I've heard many positive reviews on Mobic as a pain killer (you can find it on 4rxpharmacy.us/ ) . My father-in-law has been taking Mobic over 3 years for his arthritis. He says it has less side effects than other pain relief pills.

As you said. Its for arthritis too. If only this is for pain then fine, but if it is for treating causes of arthritis than this is wrong since we here don't suffer from arthritis. Please take doctor advise before taking the Mobic.

Artist35 I understand you are the bread winner of your household. Is there any way you can go on some type of short term disability? Seven weeks does not sound very long to recover from spinal cord surgery.Where and what type of tumor did you have? Can you give more details? If you are having this much pain still you are def not ready to go back to work.Healing is a process especially when it comes to the spinal cord and your nerves. You need time and you can't rush these things.Maybe you can ask family to help out? The depression your feeling is all normal as far as going on anti depressants that is your choice but if you decide I would suggest taking Trazadone this way you would not need to take Ambiene anymore because they make you very tired.Talk to your doctor of course. Please dont feel like people are tired of hearing it,this is a very painful, scary, depressing time to go through. I have an inoperable sub ependymoma now for 16 years and I have gone through the same emotions you are feeling and still do.It is all normal and you will get through it.Thats what we are here for. Please take the time for your self to heal,I cant stress it enough.Im here to talk any time feel free to message me on FB as well.
Blessings,
Tricia

I know several people who have had great success with using CBD oil to reduce their anxiety — even social anxiety. It could help you, at least with that aspect. Make sure you talk with your doctor about taking it with your prescriptions.

Do you take some pills from anxiety and depression? I have found one nice Online Pharmacy, and I would like to get some medicine from there. Maybe you can recommend something to me? That would be very nice!
