I had a Schwannoma removed from the base of my spine over 20 years ago. Because of the location I had to have abdominal surgery to remove the tumor.I have never had any re-testing. I have suffered from Restless leg Syndrome for years. I have always had good control of my RLS with medications until this last year. Lately nothing seems to help.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced RLS?

Hi Patreece, I have a Schwannoma at L2. It was finally treated with a CyberKnife procedure this year [the outcome of this procedure, at least at this point, made the symptoms worse rather than better]. I thought the pain down my leg might be RLS originally but in retrospect, it was likely caused by the tumor [given where the pain was].
Have you considered asking for another MRI to look for other tumors on your spine?
Good luck! Terry
