Thought these might interest you. Both are from high cervical intramedullary SCT survivors (one of them is me) 

When I was asked to write the update I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to continue to write/talk about my spinal cord tumor experience or if I wanted to just put it in my rear view mirror.

I realized I could do both. As I recover I am putting it in my rear view mirror. And at the same time I remember how desperate I was to hear stories from other spinal cord tumor patients because as you know we are a rare breed. So I will continue to share my experiences and insights in hopes that it will serve someone needing the connections that I needed and still need.

I’m 23 yrs out from my C2 ependyamoma. I was 37 when I was diagnosed. I lost proprioception, but my motor is fine. I have had 3 disk surgeries and 1 detethering of the Cord. Life does go on if you let go of the fear and live to your best potential. I proof you can be alive and have a life.
