Hello,
I'm 26 years old, in 25/11/2012 i underwent a surgery to remove cervical spinal cord Ependymoma, after 14 hours surgery the doctor told me that it was a success as it was a big tumor and it was hundred percent removed with no need for chemotherapy or radiotherapy, after a week of the surgery all of a sudden i had a great pain in all my back and numbness in all my body and i couldn't move even a finger, i thought i got paralyzed, however the MRI showed that there is internal bleeding so i had to undergo for another surgery to stop the bleeding which took more than nine hours, they had to remove the lamina because of the swelling and the edema, however miraculously everything went ok and the doctor told me that i should get better by time and physiotherapy, in fact i did, but not as i was expecting, i can tell that i'm maybe 80 percent functioning in comparison with a normal me, but i can walk, move around, run, swim, drive and i can help my self in almost every thing except garbing small stuff, sure not perfect as i used to, but at least i'm back to my life and still improving slightly, also i have some difficulties with my hands that's why i still i can't write, it's something strange that i cant hold a pen in the proper, but the left hand is much worst it's verry week i mean the palm and fingers with not more than 40 percent efficiency and i can't move my thumb, more over i have severe pains, burning sensation and itching almost all the day, also shoulders and neck pain, i started to get used to it as a second nature but it really bothers me to have all this pain 24/7 it's something beyond human strength to deal with such pain continuously, what i really hope not the recovery anymore it's just stopping the pain i have, and doctors says everything looks just ok in the MRI, this is really weird!!!.
any suggestion?,
regards.
