Any one from the area have any recommendations for surgeons? Am I better off going to Seattle or elsewhere?

While I don't have recommendations for that area I strongly recommend you find the RIGHT surgeon for you and don't waste time on someone who has not treated someone with your tumor. And don't waste time on someone who you have a bad feeling about.

Dr. Kim Burchiel at OSHU was my surgeon. I had an intramedullary ependymoma located from my c4-t2 that he completely resected. Very happy with the care he provided and the OHSU staff if wonderful.
