I was diagnosed with my tumor...5 yrs.ago...with minor symptoms only.I have been re evaluated yearly...with slow growth..I have this year...started having severe symptoms...legs tingling with pain... numb toes on left foot...muscle spasms everywhere...arms legs ribcage neck face..loss of control in hands..I drop everything! Headaches...when I walk too much...yeah...crazy..among all the other countless problems....when I try to lay down to sleep...pain is really bad...wakes me every couple hours..have to wake up for some sort of remedy...meds hot bath...tens unit...magnesium..you name it...I have tried it..My question....has anyone else went through this? and am I FINALLY a candidate to have this removed? I take neurontin...percocet...zanaflex...ibuprofen..many supplements...I find myself totally aggravated by neurologists...neurosurgeon...at my wits end...

"arms neck face..loss of control in hands"
You shouldn't be experiencing those kind of issues because the tumor is at L1. Anything below the SCT tumor is effected, but I'm no Neurologist.

That is what I am asking panel..have you had an intradural extradullary meningioma? or surgery for this tumor? I really am enlightened by all the insight from this forum.Doctors and neurologists have frustrated me about surgery.. there are so many symptoms..while I have other spinal issues I know some symptoms occur from these "OTHER" issues... and that's putting my surgery on hold. If anyone has been through this I would be so greatful for any firsthand info that you could share with me.
