Hi All, Well the pain managment doctor did some trigger point injections into my lower back. Those muscles were so rigid that it was my only other alternative. So far they are working great. If I had none about these early I would have done it months ago. Has anyone else had this treatment. I think it works great so far.

Tony, I tried them a few years ago with no luck. Good for you though! I am happy for anyone that gets even a small amount of pain relief. Congrats! Kim

Tony I had them also about a year ago. They helped me for a short time. I am now getting cervical epidural. I had my third one last week. I think it has helped me more than the trigger points did. I just keep looking for that one time cure don't think it's out there. Like Kim said it is great for us to get even a small amount of pain relief though!

Not quite sure if I had the same thing done recently or not. I had two steroid (cortesone?) shots on Tuesday by my GP. One was in the sciatic area (lower left) and the other was in the hip socket area. I have had very bad pain from the hip to the ankle from a fall back in December of '06. I had a little bit of the "roid rage" feelings during the short drive home. I get that side-effect every time it seems. But the shots did seem to help quite a bit for up to 4 hours. The benefits subsided over the next few days. I'm not opposed to having this done again though. First real relief from the pain I've had in almost a year and a half!
