Help, anyone? I've been looking into getting an electric scooter and need some info. If anyone has gotten one - did you get an approval from Medicare? I read that they only approve it if needed to get around in your house. Well - I need it to get in and out of other places - such as auditoriums, malls, ball fields etc. where I have great difficulty in distance and surfaces. Any suggestions as to type of scooter - say one that disassembles easily and that one person can handle alone? And did Medicare or other insurance help out? I would really appreciate any replies. I hope to have one by conference time in Chicago

Hi rm,
I have a GoGo scooter from pride, you can get a 3 or 4 wheel version, it's great to go shopping, it comes apart and fit's in the boot of your car, one person can lift it...my niece takes me shopping she is able to take it apart put it to gether...it's small enough to use indoors....since my walking has gotten worse I have been using it in doors....I have a 4 wheel one it just a little safer.........if you where here in Australia you would only pay $100 but you would be put on a waiting list...some links I found for you in the UK...good luck www.pridegogo.co.uk/item444.htmwww.pride-scooters.co.uk/gogo4.html
