I am new to this board and I have been doing a lot of research and gathering as much information as I can but I have come ot find out that spinal cord tumors are rare. My fiance was dignosed with a lipoma in his thoracic spine and had a 12 hour surgery this past oct where the dr's decompressed his spinal cord and resected as much of the tumor as they could since the found out one operating that his tumor was growing out of his cord and all around it. He had a graft placed to allow the tumor to grow. HE has had two more surgeries since due to csf leaks from where the graft and the repair have torn. He has been doing well since the last surgery and recently had headaches again. the mri he had last week showed another csk leak and tear. I am seeking help and information from anyone who has had any experience like this or has any ideas about this??? He is living on pain medicince and constantly laying in bed trying to ease the headache while his dr says he is looking into other options.
I NEED HELP! I am exhausted and at a my wits end. We have been struggling with surgery after surgery and he is depressed and giving up hope. I will take any information that I can.
Thank YOU!

I'm sorry that no one has gotten back to you about this. I think maybe it's because most of the traffic on this site is on the General Forum. Could you possibly repost this there? I haven't had surgery yet, so I can't offer any suggestions to you-- but I'm sure there are people on the General Forum who probably have had experience with this problem.
