That is awesome! You GO girl!! But please go carefully.
I would love to attempt the same. I have a mess of bikes here from old classics to 10 speeds. But the truth is I'm still trying to conquer my fear of wrecking. I believe I have just enough leg strength to pedal and just enough balance to make progress. But I fear that my dumb numb feet will do me in. One slips off, slams into whatever, and I take a severe tumble.
I know, I know. There's always the recumbent route, other three wheeler options or training wheels. But I'm too stubborn for that. I still have refused to turn in my paper work (doctor signed and pre-approved) for a handicap placard. It's almost 2 years old now.
Please keep us informed as to your progress on the bike. I am in hopes that by reading your experiences that I may gain the confidence to give it a go. Although I might just dawn the old goalie gear before mounting. ;D I knew I kept those old relics for some good purpose.
