My wife had a tumor removed several years ago at L2-4 that has re-seeded in the S1 area. Has anyone had a similar placement? What was the result, and who was the surgeon? What's the prognosis, and what do you have to look out for? She already has leg pain from the previous operation. Could this be the reason why?

Hey Tennisguy, It sounds like your wife might have a myxopapillay ependymoma. We have had posts from members with the same kind of tumors. Teri K. is one. If she hasn't already contacted you, she will probably answer a post. She may not have checked the boards recently. You might try to send her a message. I am sorry you and your wife have to go through this again, once is bad enough. Good luck in your search for a doctor and with treatment. She is fortunate to have you to help her. Susan
