Hi All - good to see we have some way to try to communicate again. I hope people will use this temporary board till Aimoo gets their *ahem* sorted out. Wendy44, I agree that sending films to Dr. Jallo is a good idea. Also, a few thoughts on your MRIs: Have you ever had an MRI done of your complete spine? Sometimes doctors only order a scan of the area that seems to be causing the problems, but there could be something else higher up in the spine causing or contributing to the condition. Second, are you having MRIs with and without contrast? Probably you are, but if not, you should definitely ask about this. And third, if you can, find out where the most powerful MRI in your area is - there are some newer, more precise ones out there. I'm no expert, but the measurement of how powerful they are is in "Teslas" - ask around and find the most "Teslas" that you can. I hope this helps. Of course we all hope you don't have a tumor, but if you do you've come to the right place for support. Either way, I'm sure you must be frustrated not knowing what it is, so I hope this leads you to some answers soon. Best, Ida

thank you, Im am seeing my Physitrist Dr. Cherrick for follow up this friday and will ask about this, they have never ordered MRI with contrast, only with out and only the lumbar region. I will ask if we can do a complete spinal MRI and I will ask about TESLAS. THank you folks for your input. wendy

I thought it was just me that was having problems posting to the old forum. I hadn't been on in a while and thought I was just unfamiliar with the new forum. I posted not too long ago about seating options and have since looked into three different gel seat cushions and was hoping one of you out there has tried some gel cushions for sitting comfort. Please let me know of any recommendations. In case any of you are interested, here are links to the one's I am looking into. geltecproducts.com/detail.aspx?ID=42www.drivingcomfort.com/index.cfm/fa/p/pid/3663/sc/33160www.flowcushion.com/flow/

Dear Robert,
This is Kirsten R.
Just checked in to try to find my old posts to copy them from the aimoo board. Are they completely lost? I am terrified that they are, as I am unable to type that much again, have been unable to write for some time. There was so much info there, I copied some but had physical trouble with all the cutting and pasting, kept putting it off until i was better. This is my own fault but I have been mainly getting through one day at a time.
As you know I am very sorry to have been out of touch. I have been in decline, and the only way to stabilize was to avoid typing.
Kirsten

Kirsten:
I am someone who joined a couple of years ago, and I just want to thank you for all that you did. Your archived postings are incredibly informative, and they really helped me learn from a researched medical perspective about these tumors and their recovery curve. If your postings get lost, that would really be tragic.
Mainly, though, I just want to say thanks! I hope your own situation is somehow able to be turned around.
--Bill

Boy, trying to get into this forum is almost impossible!!! I would join in more if I didn't have so much trouble. About the questions about tumor, definetly get a total spine mri. For years they just mri'd the part of my spine where I had pain and then I went to a neuro surgeon and he did a total mri and there was the tumor- way up higher than the pain. They say that everything from the tumor and down are affected. If they would of caught it sooner I probably wouldn't have so many deficits. Keep pushing until you get an answer. Around this area they aren't that familiar with these tumors because they are so rare so they were ready to just throw in the towel. My husband and my family physician wouldn't let them give up though! Hope this helps
