Welcome! You might want to post on the main message board. That is where more people will see your post and answer you. You might want to include a little info about your tumor...the symptoms, where was the surgey, how long did you have pain, how is your rehab, etc. Just some general info about yourself so we kno how to answer you with any help or questions you might have. Take care new friend. Cindy

hello, I had surgery on 7-8-10 for intrademullary ependynoma tumor on C-3C-4. the only symptoms I had was tingling sensation on my feet & hands. My drs were surprised that I could function at a normal level especially since I work in surgery (tech). I was sent to a NS when I had Bells Palsy on march 2010 & after an MRI this tumor showed up. it was 11mm in size. My life has changed drastically and not for the better. I understand the tumor had to be removed & I believe I chose an excellent NS. Nonetheless I am unhappy & I feel a bit lost. I have limited sensation from the waist down, have severe neck pain & now suffer from seizures... I miss driving, working & my independence... At 50 years old, I am not ready to stop but I do have to come to terms with my new normal. I"m fortunate that I have an excellent family support system in play......

the new body does take a lot of adjusting to get used to. my experience is much like yours, i am only numb on half my body though - left side. I can actually take the numbness its the muscle pain at the surgical site that keeps me down. I have severe head forward posture now and my back is in pain constantly. it wears on you, that's for sure.
take care and post over in the general forum, more people hang out in there. just a suggestion.
