Hello All,
I had a laminectomy performed to remove a meningioma at T3-T4 on March 10, 2018. I just started physical therapy, and have been having a shock type headache in upper left back portion of my skull for the last three days. I had some pain medication left over from my surgery that I stopped taking after 4 weeks, but that didn't even help. Has anyone else experienced this post surgery? I had an MRI today, I think the surgeon would like to try to rule out a spinal fluid leak. The headache the first day was a shock in the back of the skull once every 1-3 minutes, second day every 3-5 minutes, third day every 30-50 minutes. Now I only have the shock every few hours, but it does concern me. It also feels like the shock comes from my neck up to the back of my head, and then sometimes the shock travels to the back of my right eye. I don't know if this is just due to physical therapy, this is the first time I've really worked the back muscles since surgery. Could it be the missing Lamina? The first day the head shocks started all I wanted to do was lay in bed with my eyes closed, that seemed to help a little. And they made me very lethargic. Has anyone else dealt with this?
Thanks,
Ashley B.
