I’m new to this forum and wish you all the best...
my journey..
injured c5 disc in 2016..had significant neck pain for 10 days
spring 2017
primary dr. Scheduled mri
mri showed damaged disc
primry referred me to surgeon
scheduled surgery for fall
Pre-op follow up mri they saw something, added contrast, t2 bright c4/5
surgery postponed, refererred to neurologist for ms diagnosis, several months out
2017 started having numbness hands while on motorcycle, Atv
2017 started noticing spasm in right leg/arm during my morning bed stretch
2017 noticed left leg had warm water pouring in sensation
took my imaging (3 sets over 2 years) to mass general, Dr Borges, Director Neurosurgery Mass General-top of class Doctor!
he said he did not think it’s tumor, image issue perhaps, not certain
dignosed severe stenosis cervical
noted and showed me c4-c-7 narrowing, compression
recommended surgery, laminoplasty c3-c7
Did not think tumor as he has seen a lot of film
i made decision to have Mass Gen do laminoplasty
i did not follow local dr who wanted to do disc only and laminoplasty later, if needed
c3-c7 successful surgery Jan 10 18 followed by ct scan 5 weeks later-scan was good, all intact
Image
mri follow up last week-t2bright stayed same size, have follow-up mri oct 18
My dilemma and outreach to you all
i read his test result.
he “remains concerned that image “neoplasm” may evolve into 3 listed cancers
Some questions/thoughts/facts
Ive read that scar tissue could be part of image?
I wonder if injury created t2bright, coincidence?
should I send my film out to others? Who?
im very active and the symptons do seem to be getting better, the good Dr. mentioned it would wax and wain for a year or so.
I have a lot of commitments to business and family, I prefer to face the issues promptly so I can plan around them
should I consider any other surgeries, options, investigations, scanning, etc?
Would you kindly inform me accordingly?
I wish every one of you the greatest of success.
