Hi all newbie here, back in march of 2016 I was diagnosed with an ependymoma the size of Texas lol. No but seriously T10-S5, my surgery was done at Duke University hospital by Dr. Allen Friedman, I was told there was an 80% chance I'd never walk again, now a little about myself I'm 37 now was very athletic and muscular , I would ride my bikes around 100-150 miles a week. I'm an electrician for the city I live in, so getting that news was heart breaking. Well I underwent the surgery on June 9th they did a multi level laminectomy from T5-T12 they weren't able to to a full resection, so after a month of recovering I underwent 6 weeks of radiation from the tip of my tailbone to T-10. Radiation kills muscle lol I lost 26 pounds through this whole ordeal. I was able to ditch the walker within 2 weeks, taught myself to drive a manual transmission car with a numb left foot, when the doctor told me I could lightly workout, it was my mission to get back to normal
