Hi, I am new here and seeking some verbal courage. I am having my tumor removed from thoracic t3-t4, in 2 weeks. Apparently the tumor has been growing since before a prior MRI in 2006. I just had this set up at Neurosurgeon' office yesterday. Happened so fast and I have a generic folder of reading material and surgical soap for before operation. Any input, advice or fact would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I hope you are doing well since the surgery. I just found this web site after reading about it in the publication, Neurology Now. I had a meningioma in t3-t4 removed on June 14, 2016. I was 82 years old at the time. After extensive rehab I am doing very well. I have regained alot of use of my right/arm. Mine also happened so fast and only two months after my husband of 60 years passed away. Good luck.

I too, seem to be having more pain now, than I experienced since week 2. I feel like I have a metal plate inside my back, have dark bruising coming out at the sides of my incision and feel like I was hung up by my armpits for a few days.I was told today by my neurologist to contact the neurosurgeon and send pictures and that this can take up to a year or beyond to heal completely.
