Hello! I see a neurosurgeon on 19 Oct, but in the interim, what is considered a large thoracic spinal schwannoma? Mine is located at T5/T6 and measures 2.1 cm x 3 cm x 2.3 cm. thank you!!

The reason I am asking is I wanted to know a little about the suze in relation to whether others have decided to wait and watch, or at what point is it clear that surgery is recommended. I realize every case is unique, just trying to gain perspective.

Is it impinging on the spinal cord? I had a schwannoma at T12-L1 that took up 75% of the space and had pushed the spinal cord to one side and was deforming it. I was not a candidate to watch and wait although I felt I could tolerate the symptoms, which were not debilitating.

Hi! This is Michele! I have registered and am now a member. The MRI report says it slightly displaced cord to the right.
