Hairchik and agustin702:
I'm praying that ya'll are still reading this link. Had C2/3 removed 3/12/08. Any feedback , comments would so be appreciated. Medical staff has been really helpful but I'd really appreciate hearing what ya'll have been experiencing ect... I don't know of anyone who has been through this. What is normal like post op, or is this the new normal?
I'm sorry ya'll have had to navigate this but I'm excited at hopefully hearing from someone else.

Heather, I'm sorry to hear you had to join in on all of our fun! How are you doing since surgery? I have to say, my outcome has been pretty good. I still have numbness in my left hand but that's pretty much it. I had that for 5 yrs before my tumor was found though. Things are different after surgery, but everyone is so different. How were you before compared to now?

Hi Amanda... I'm 5 yrs post op.... Had same symptoms as you are describing..... And it will get better. My numbness is not nearly as challenging as it was the first year. Energy levels are much better. Pins and needles for me used to surge right before I had a Flair... But when the flair subsided... I felt an improvement in the degree of numbness. For me, any cardio workout will help decrease numbness sensations and increase ability to feel more for a few hours after working out. Don't put your life on 'hold' till u feel better... Do what you can.... And in my experience you'll see big improvements.
