Standing for first time since your surgery is amazing. Way to go girl.
It is inspiring to know that after all your struggles you did it. You are an amazing person.
Keep up the fight and hard work. Never doubt your possibilities.
There may be twists and dips in your road ahead but you will walk again.
Stay strong.

Lynne, that is GREAT.........................As everyone has said they can all remember their first time standing. I can also very clearly. I had an ependymoma partialy removed 7/12/07, then within a week had other major medical issues so it pu ky rehab behind. I finally a month after my surgery was moved to the rehad center. It was a huge deal just to get me up to the wheelchair. Then it happened I stood between the parallel bars. First time for about 30 seconds, then more and more each day. Then those first wobbly steps. After a month in rehab I wnet home in a wheel chair but able to walk with a walker and braces on my legs. Slowly I was able to walk without the braces, then kept working and can now walk bare foot but still have to have a walker. My balance is not very good. Now I just found out that my tumor is growing back and I will need to have another surgery sometime the first part of November, so I maybe be bck to that first standing again. My plan is to walk out of the hospital with just a cane. Positive thinking does wonders! Keep up the good work and all this incouragement really does help. Donna
