Folks: There is a new reality TV show out, called Hopkins. It is a behind-the-scenes look at Johns Hopkins hospital, where Jallo works. I wrote and asked him if he was ever profiled in it, and he said he thought he would be in the 3rd episode, which would be next Thursday night (on ABC, I think). It will be interesting to see him in action... Joel

Replay of the Hopkins TV show can be seen on the abc.com website. So, if you can't watch the show when it airs on tv - you can watch it online. www.abc.com Search " Hopkins "

Hi Joel, I'm glad you posted this because I was wondering if Dr. Jallo would be on this show as well. I have been watching this show from the 1st episode, and I love it. The stories are sometimes heartbreaking and inspirational and I have to watch with a box of tissues next to me! Unfortunately (from what I understand) it's only 6 episodes because it was just a documentary.
I also started watching the show because of Dr. Jallo, and the possibility that we'll someday take our son to see him if he needs a 2nd surgery.
take care, Vanessa

Joel, Thanks for the heads up. YES, Dr. Jallo is basically in the 1st 15 min of the show.. or less. - great footage, which shows the man we know to be competent and compassionate in the extreme.

Yeah it was a fairly neat episode last night. He's put on a little weight since I last saw him. He's not what I would call though, a man of many words! Joel

Good to see Dr. Jallo in action, especially after just seeing him at the conference. (He looked a bit more fit there, too, Joel - I don't think surgical masks and gowns make anybody look thinner :-) ) I'm glad he had a good outcome for the show! Probably the producers were hoping he'd be a bit more dramatic/overwrought, but his calm demeanor is one of the things that make so many people on the board trust him, I think. Did anyone ever see Dr. Stewart Grossman (a neurooncologist) or Dr. Lawrence Kleinberg (a radiation oncologist) on the show? I just got back from 6 weeks out of the country and had no idea this show was even on... I used to go to Hopkins for my follow-ups on the east coast so am curious if any of my other doctors ever appeared on the show.
