8 years ago today I was under the knife getting my SCT out. I have been able to ski, but until this year I had yet to backpack, which I used to love to do. This year, last week that is, I managed to backpack 25 miles in the Grand Teton mountains. I spent 3 days and 2 nights. I took some photos, I hope you enjoy them. I regret that I am missing the conference this year, I spent a week in Jackson for my brother in laws 50th birthday, backpacked for 3 days and went to Denver for my mother's 75th birthday. That left no more vacation. I hope to make the next one. Steve s189.photobucket.com/albums/z217/stevierayhall/Grand%20Tetons%20Backpack/

Now that I think about it I don't remember which year I started skiing again. I had my surgery July 17, 2000 and I know I didn't do it the following winter. It might have been the next winter.

Steve, Beautiful pictures!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you did it, yeah!!!!!!!!! I showed them to my husband and asked if he remembered you from Joel's house and he said "Oh yeah, he was the one with the camera". Now I know why these pictures are so fantastic!!!!!!!! My husband wants to know if he can go with you on the next backpack trip, ha,ha. Maybe he could hitch me up to him :-) I'm going to give my son the website to view your pictures because he wants to backpack. Barb
