I've just realised that today is my 10 year anniversary! This time 10 years ago I was waking up after my first surgery, happy to hear that it was a success and my toes still wiggled, albeit with a lack of actual feeling. Its also been 6 1/2 years since my second surgery, I'm sure it'll be no time at all and that will be 10 years gone as well. I had an appointment with a NS in the past few months who told me I look a million bucks, I'll take that as a good sign that all is well right now, and will continue to stay that way for the foreseeable future. I've been incredibly slack in the past year or so, no exercise at all, so now my back is hurting. I've done Pilates for the past 3 mornings and its starting to come right again, its been a good reminder that even though I look and feel fine, I'm still missing a few chunks out of my spine and I have to keep up with the maintenance!

Thats awesome, Deidre, keep up the exercise. It's hard to believe how fast time goes, isn't it?? Congrats on such a good outcome after TWO surgeries! :-D

Congrats you hottie, but yes, by all means keep up with the exercise! And, I think, as you get older the exercise becomes even more important.
