Hello,
I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to let everyone know how the MRI went yesterday. The full spine MRI took about 3 1/2 hours and Alejandro had to be sedated (which we hate!). He was OK waking up, but he cried for about 30 minutes because he wanted to come home! Besides that, everything went well. Alejandro's surgeon called us when we were on our way home from the hospital. He said the MRI showed the tumor still looked the same as the last MRI 6 weeks ago, which he said was a good sign. Next we have an appt. with the surgeon on Wednesday and he'll review the MRI images with us, and I'll ask him a bunch of questions! Then he'll just have an MRI every three months - as was originally scheduled, and we have to watch him for any symptoms.
I want to thank everyone for their positive thoughts and prayers, it means the world to us.
Have a great holiday weekend!!
God bless, Vanessa

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it.
I wish you luck as well with your MRI. I didn't realize they also sedate adults for these MRI's.
take care, Vanessa

I know what a good feeling tht gives that the tumor hasn't grown. It sounds like you have a good dr. that is keeping on top of things. Keep us updated on how things go.

Thanks Ruby! Dr. Sandberg is amazing, he really goes above and beyond for his patients. He was actually in the middle of a very busy day doing various surgeries at another hospital and between surgeries he went to see the our son's MRI results at Miami Children's, just so he can call us and give us the results. We appreciate him more than words can say!
take care, Vanessa
