Hi all! I'm curious as to whether or not anyone has heard from Ashley, our newcomer? Her surgery was scheduled for the 5th. I have been concerned about her.
Hope everyone is doing well!

I was the last one to post a message to her thread on May 28th. I'm afraid she was overwhelmed by what she was hearing from everyone. Sometimes I think it is better to filter what we share of our experience to newcomers and start with the basics without all the details of our recovery and difficulties. I hope she is OK and got the help she needed.

I heard briefly from Ashley after her surgery. She said she was doing better than expected but alot of things changed as far as her outcome. As soon as she regains her strength she will call me and I will report back. I will let her know you guys are thinking about her. Missy

I was wondering about Ashley as well. It usually takes a while for people to post after their surgery. It would be great if you could update us, Missy. Steve, there is another thread that Ashley started after your post where she was still asking questions so hopefully we didn't scare her off too much. It is hard to assimilate all the information that gets thrown at you when you asks questions. I remember doing the same after my diagnosis. Kind of like trying to skip to the end of the book to see how the story ends.

I guess I think that more information is better than less. I know when I first got on here, I felt I was burning people out with all the information I was seeking. Everyone is somewhat different I suppose. Joel

I wish her all the best and a speedy recovery. She has the biggest factor on her side and that is Youth. I will keep her in my thoughts as well.
