My 6 yr. old girl Loves Disney. We live about an hour from Disney and have season passes for Fl. residents. The last time we went was the first time I ever rented a cart to drive. Never thougt I'd do that but, I just couldn't walk the park. We get a handicap pass for 6 months and skip those lines we can. Some they only allow fast Pass and the handicap doesn't work.

I think I will be okay in the lines. I am not looking forward to the heat at all. I walk fairly well and I dont have the Museum Legs. It is my back that seems to want to give me trouble from time to time.

I was just in Disney World a few months ago. I made sure we got there early and was able to rent an electric chair to get around in the park, let alone get on the rides at the front of the pack. After the 2 surgeries I went through last year I deserve some perks!!! ;D

Where/how did you get a cart to rent? Do you know if you can get those at Disney or do you have to get it elsewhere and have a way to transport it? My stepdaughter and her family are going in November and we're invited. Not sure if we can do it yet, but really would love to go. My walking is OK for awhile, but my feet and legs get very tired and I know they'd spend long days there. But we would be flying and staying somewhere where we'd do a shuttle to the park - so no car... Just wondering how that would work. And Tony - - I hope you have a great time - when are you going? You'll have to let us know how it all works out!! Chris

I am going to Tampa Bay on July 16th and then to Orlando on July 19th. I have some family and friends to visit first when I get into FL. Last year I made a trip to Branson MO after 6 months post op. We went to Sliver dollar City which is a Park and did a lot of walking. I will be okay as long as every hour I can sit for about 10 minutes. This gives my legs a break so that I can start all over again. I always have my sons stroller to push along. This is like having a walker on board. My wife understands my limits and we can make due. Oh and my son wont mind sitting around with Dad and my wife can take my daughter on the rides with the longer lines. I will let everyone know how it goes for sure. I would love to post pics but I dont think we have that capability here on the forum. I could be wrong about that though and if I am please tell me.
Tony
