One thing I did learn...a year ago when I moved out of the house I pretty much lived in for 33 years, you accumulate a LOT of stuff. I had but 31 days to move. So I slapped on my back brace, the one I swore I would never wear again, and started sorting and throwing stuff out. Donating. Most of it was my Mom's, because as we all know, Mom's from a certain era do NOT throw anything away because they might use it one day. Lots went to needy folks. Some was sold. Some went to friends. A lot of it is still in a storage unit because I am too pooped to wade through it. You learn just what it is you need to have in your house to get by. I am a sentimental gal, I like my little warm and fuzzies around me. But they need to be dusted and if you ever have to move they have to be packed and unpacked. I have learned not to keep evry bit of mail or bill for years. If I am clipping out something from the newspaper, I don't wait until later to do it. And it's true that if you haven't worn something in two years, out it goes. It sure would be a lot easier for me to move now. Partly because I still have things packed. But mostly because I have learned to pare down to what I really keep in my house. And I have to toss in a funny here. Many years ago..at least 35...my Mom always liked to have a can of olives in the house. Why, who knows. We sure didn't eat them. And none of our company ever asked for them. But we moved three times in those 35 years, and guess what. When I was packing things up to move a year ago, tucked away in a corner of Mom's pantry was... are you ready for this... that same can of olives. I could not throw it out, so guess where it sits today...in my cupboard. Hope you all have a good night. Cindy
