So I go the the local Walmart today to get my eyes checked..it had been two years. I needed new safety glasses to go back to work. Got excited because my vision seemed to improve a little. Then after closer examination, the doctor said there is a good sized cyst almost to the end of my eye underneath at the bottom of my eyeball. So, because my eyes had plastic surgery done as a child to make them appear normal, I cannot just do a regular eye doctor. So, I get to see a UPMC based doctor when he makes his visit into town. Why can't anything just be regular, no fuss. So, I have another adventure lined up. I think by the time I am through I will have learned firsthand about the whole human body. Cindy

I am really sorry to hear about this additional problem for you. And I tend to agree. It seems to just never quite end. And it seems none of the hurdles are remotely routine. At least you are in pretty good hands at UPMC. That is where I had my SCT surgery done by Dr Welch (now teaching and not practicing). My in-patient rehab was spent 2 miles down the road at UPMC Southisde. Please keep us posted as to how things go for you. We'll keep positive thoughts going for you.

I had a Wal~mart eye exam......she asked me if I had headaches, pressure in my sinus or any other head problems......not quite sure what she fully meant by that....she suggested I go to a neurologist and have an MRI.....she saw pressure and a cyst behind my eye.....even tried diagnosing me with a possible optical tumor. Well, after a week went by and being somewhat knowledgable about brain tumors .....I had a home pregancy test...turns out I was 5 months prego and it was well, pressure I usually get when prego....ok, so it was baby number three, I was busy and didn't notice I wasn't getting something for a little while. I RAN to the OB, thinking hormone changes the possibility....he didn't know what she was talking about so it was most likely a sinus infection and pressure. I really pray, seriously, you had the same person that examed me.

There are worse things you could get in your eye.
I'm sorry to hear about that. Is there any way that all of these odd things happening are related?

To the Mom of Zach, I guess we should be glad Walmart really does such exams so thouroughly. Thanks everyone for all the kind thoughts. Would that I would be prego, but alas, no action no reaction. And Went, I simply do not know if anything is related. I guess time will tell. Cindy
