I believe Johns Hopkins is #1 rated for neurosurgery in the country. There are other places where people on the forum have had good experiences. Check the section on docs for recommendations.
Dr Jallo, from Johns Hopkins, will give you an opinion for free, based on your MRI images if you contact him: George Jallo <gjallo1@jhmi.edu>

Hi
First post. I was diagnosed with a t11-t12 intradural-extramedullary tumour on 20th June, with increasing pain & numbness had surgery a week ago on 6th July.
The procedure was a minimally invasive one & i'm almost back to full mobility & have even been back to work (my own business) the last two days! Pain free & sleeping comfortably.
I live in the UK so didnt have any worries bout cost, surgeons etc Sorry I cant help on that front. God bless the NHS.

Hi James, and welcome. I too live in GA, and had mine removed by Dr. Mark Lee, who was at MCG in Augusta at the time. I believe he is now in TX, working at a children's hospital. But, if your insurance will approve it, he is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My prayers are with you.
