I went to the Baltimore conference, two years after my surgery. It really helped me turn a corner in my recovery. If anyone reading this is not sure if it would be worth the time and expense, I can say that it absolutely was for me. Especially being able to talk face to face with others who totally understood. I think I was afraid it would be just a group of unhappy people dealing with weird issues and I did not want to be associated with any more unhappiness or weirdness. Turned out it was nothing like that. Just a really incredible bunch of people that I am looking forward to seeing again. Learned a lot too. Come if you possibly can. Joan

Hi All - bumping this back up.
We really, really need to get more attendees if we're going to have a successful conference. I know travel is expensive this year but I'm asking - begging - those who are wavering to come. You will have a fantastic time, the experience of a lifetime, so please, please come (or help out with a donation if you can't - but please come!!)
Best, Ida

I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend this year's conference - we'd already made plans for that weekend (we are going away to celebrate my 50th birthday which is during the conference). I really hope to make it to the next one - I guess that will be in 2010!!
Anyway, I am also pledging support to the SCTA. This organization is doing so much for us - this message board alone is such a lifeline for all of us, and I'm sure the conference itself is packed with good info and a great opportunity to meet our friends.

I am sorry to say that I am not going to be able to make it. My daughter will be arriving home in July from China after being gone for two years and getting married in August. I would love to donate at this time but am a little low on funds (due to wedding!!) as soon as there is a slight cash flow again I will donate to SCTA!!! This is a wonderful Association!!!

Linda, At least one adult from our family will be attending the conference. I'm not sure if both my husband and myself will be able to attend (we are still working on childcare issues). Do you ever videotape the speakers for people who are not able to attend? Thanks. Denise Thul (Kim's mom)

We had our June board meeting tonight and all we discussed was the conference. We are planning on videotaping the conference so if you miss anything you can buy a DVD later on to see all of it. I hope everything works out for the both of you to attend. I need you to make a copy of the SCTA Registration form and fill it out for us to get a good count and for your badge. You can faxed it or scan it to me or put it in the mail. All of that info on the form.
Thanks.

All right I have my Pay Pal set, but it will only let me register myself and I do not believe this is a 2 for 1 deal and my sister is planning on attending as well. Is there some way to register both of us through Pay Pal?

Shannon we change the price if you pay the $100.00 that will be for the both of you. To register you and your sister you need to fill out the form from the conference page that will register you . As far as the payment goes if you want to pay the $100.00 she can reeimburse you for the $50.00. We did this hoping it would bring more to the attendance. If I have confuse you let me know.
