Joel, That would be great. We could create our own characters and also we could pick for a list of NS. We could have it based like SIMS where we have to nurture the characters. I am not sure if we would get rich but it would be interested to see who buys it. Probably nobody but us sicko's would buy it - but it does sound pretty cool. I can't see too many others picking it off the shelf... For those less into computer games, it would be quick and easy to design a board game - maybe call it "SCTopoly." But again, I fear the market would be limited. Let us know when you get a beta version of the game ready to test! Chris

For the record, I am not creative enough to be in business for myself. I'm an accountant by training - have done corporate or business accounting and/or finance stuff for the last 20+ years (no income taxes for me!!).
So I also have a job that involves sitting on my butt in front of a computer. I am very fortunate - I work for the Univ of Oklahoma, but do it from Virginia. I have a local (Virginia) office that I go into when my husband is in town (he works nearby and I don't drive), and I work from home when he is out of town on travel or when I have a doctor appointment, etc.
I lucked out because I was able to ease back into the work at my own pace and on my own time, and am now back 100% (just in time for budget work!!). Am hoping this will last because I'd be in a bind to try to find something where the commute wouldn't kill me...
I envy those of you who have the vision and guts to try having your own business. I know it's a lot of hard work but I think it's great.

Joel, as I mentioned, I was in the corporate side of the restaurant business for many years. How many of you have hard of Einstein Bros. Bagels? I worked for them for 11 years. When I left I was a Buyer of equipment, smallwares (pans, utencils, etc.) and cleaning supplies and chemicals. As far as what kind of project work I can do.... for one, let's say a restaurant is going through a growth spurt, I could be the liason between the general contractor and the construction department at "home base". Or if they are going to be coming out with a new menu item, I could help with the promotion of that, etc. The possibilities are pretty endless. Over the years I worked in just about every department so my knowledge is vast.

Joel, I'm a photographer. www.jodygomez.com I wish I had known about you last time I shot the PBR World Finals at the Thomas and Mack. Would have definitely stopped in for a beer (or coffee). Anyway, photography keeps me active which is essential for me to remain comfortable. Cheers. Jody
